About the Camp
The gurgling Alaknanda River, slips and slides over boulders, leaving in its wake a series of frothy rapids. Hemmed along, is a forested mountain on one side and the sandy stretch of Camp High 5 on the other. The village of Jayalgarh in Uttarakhand, where the camp is located, is blessed with bright green fields of fresh vegetables, the background score of the Alaknanda and only one campsite along its edge, keeping it pleasantly secluded from the rafting action on the over-treaded banks of Rishikesh, downstream. The location of Camp High 5 is the perfect blend of accessibility and isolation with close enough rail and air nodes to get here. Ideal for a mixed group of adventure-junkies and activity-averse folks, here you can choose your own experience. It could be a mix of high –octane activities like rafting in Grade 3 rapids, jummaring, kayaking, rappelling and bridge slithering, or low-key relaxing strolls in a village or sitting by the river in an easy chair – book and chai cup in hand. For some, it's Yoga and village walks that does the trick for complete relaxation. The spirit restoring nature of the camp is welded together by the majestic mountains on one side, the unstoppable Alaknanda in its gorge, the simple village life of Jayalgarh and the warm hospitality of the camp. - 12 Deluxe Swiss cottage tents with attached built-up running water washrooms. These are large Swiss cottage tents (12′ x 12′) with all creature comforts, customized wooden furniture, comfortable bedding, coffee table, relaxation chairs, luggage racks, ambient lighting and so on. There is running hot water that is provided through solar water heaters
