Perched on top of a beautiful mountain ridge, The Ridge House is a chic bungalow which offers the most exquisite views all around. On a clear day one can enjoy sights of the snow-capped mountain ranges as well as the magnificent Tehri Lake down below. The Sun rising from within the mountains is a special experience for anyone willing to wake up early. 'The Ridge House' is part of a quaint and very sparsely populated Sursingdhar village, near the town of New Tehri. Cut off from any hustle and bustle it is a perfect base to relax and explore the bounties of mother nature bestowed upon this region. It is an absolute paradise for people who love to walk/hike
Amenities & Activities
- The bungalow comprises of two independent sections/houses each having 3 bedrooms with attached washroom, a living room, dining & kitchen area, a veranda on the ground floor and a big covered terrace on the first floor. Each house has very comfortable furniture and tastefully selected furnishings. All bedrooms come with big size smart TV's.
- There is separate dining hall with a pantry and powder room. A Bukhari keeps the hall warm during cold evenings
- Special feature of the house is the fire place gazebo. One can enjoy a crackling fire and some music in the evenings
- Deck in front of the bungalow has mesmerising views and guests just love to walk here
- House is very well managed by a local family and some women from the village. You will get to experience simple and true mountain hospitality at The Ridge House
- We have a highly experienced chef at the house who is sure to delight you with his culinary skills. Food will be a mix of local, Indian, Chinese & Continental dishes. We can organise a barbeque on special request and with an advance notice. Lot of the food ingredients are sourced locally.
- Depending upon the season you will be served vegetables from our kitchen garden. The rajma and other lentils grown in the village are of superior quality
- For your excursions and hikes, if required we can organise well trained local guides
